Day 4 - Beeline for Slovenia

After we'd said goodbye to our lovely hosts we did some important maintainence, namely oiling the chains and attaching Tigre's (Emma's Tiger companion/mascot/valued member of the team) fake eyelashes for a 30minute delayed 08:30 start.

We absolutely flew along averaging 21mph for 40miles (lots of km/h for a long way) and were very quickly at half way for the successful supermarket raid.

Afternoon was spent inhaling food and blissfully ignoring the impending storm ahead.... until it was too late to ignore 😅 and bailed just short of the boarder to Slovenia for a final Italy pizza and a dry night inside!

Did we mention Tigre's new eyelashes???

Airbnbing is nearly as hard as camping by the time we'd had one request rejected, been to the second and no response and finally got into another with the help of a very friendly guest, François interpreting the lovely old lady caretaker of a hotel-like business with a remote reception and flat/hostel like spaces and private rooms! Weird setup but it works!
